Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Charley Coss ("we," "I") handles personal
information collected through the SMS, voice, and voicemail services hosted
at comm.charleycoss.com and the related telephone lines
((313) 539-8975, (313) 539-8970,
and (313) 379-9945).
What information is collected
- Phone numbers of people I correspond with by SMS or
voice, provided directly by them in a one-to-one conversation, meeting,
or sign-up form.
- Message and voicemail content sent to or from the
lines above, retained so I can read, reply to, and follow up on
conversations.
- Call metadata (date, duration, direction, caller ID)
for the same purpose.
- Opt-in/opt-out preferences you set on the
Message Preferences page or by texting
STOP/START — stored so I honor them on every future send.
How that information is used
- To carry out personal, civic, and constituent communications that
recipients have agreed to receive.
- To respond to inbound calls, texts, and voicemails.
- To honor opt-out requests immediately and permanently.
What is not done with that information
- No phone numbers, messages, or contact records are sold or rented.
- No marketing lists are built from contact information; outreach is
one-to-one and consent-based.
- No data is shared with third parties for advertising. The only
third-party processor involved is Twilio, Inc., which carries the
SMS and voice traffic on behalf of these lines under their own
privacy policy.
- Mobile information (including phone numbers and opt-in status)
will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or
promotional purposes.
How to opt out
You can stop receiving messages at any time by either:
- Replying STOP to any text from one of the lines
above. The carrier and our application will both record the opt-out
and block further messages from that line.
- Visiting comm.charleycoss.com/preferences.php
and entering your mobile number to manage your preferences per line.
- Emailing charley.coss@cosscomm.dev
and asking to be removed.
Reply HELP at any time for assistance. Message and data
rates may apply.
Retention
Messages and call records are retained as long as needed to maintain a
useful conversation history, and are deleted on request. Opt-out records are
kept indefinitely so they continue to be honored.
